Titus 2 Institute

At T2i, we believe that God's grace—demonstrated to us in the radical love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ—has the power to heal relationships marred by sin and thereby to restore purity to the church, which is the family of God, and to each individual family. Our mission is to serve as a resource for local churches seeking to carry out the discipleship and mentorship commands found in Titus 2, with an aim to building up the church as a whole and the individual relationships within it—all to the glory of God.

T2i has adopted a preventative-education model that examines the nature of marriage and raises awareness about potential family-related issues. A significant feature of this model is the training of leaders who can build discipleship and mentorship ministries in their local churches.

Pastor Tae is the Director of Programs

T2i seeks to be faithful to God and man by prioritizing an exegetically accurate and Holy Spirit-driven application of the Scriptures in its relations with individuals, families and churches.  It prayerfully seeks to be scripturally sound, while culturally sensitive, in ministering the Word of God. I highly recommend this vital and important ministry.
Dr. George Scipione
, Counselor, Former Director of the Institute of Biblical Counseling and Discipleship,
Former Professor of Practical Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary in CA
Author of "The Sword and the Shovel"

T2i is dedicated to a high view of the Word of God especially in addressing the difficulties that Christians face in contemporary culture. In fact, one of the unique aspects of its ministry is that it is counter-intuitive when it comes to post modernity, because it is committed to the principle that God has communicated authoritative truth clearly and accurately for living. For churches and Christians who are looking for help in building a truly effective discipleship ministry, I highly recommend this ministry. Dr. John Street, Dept. Head of the Graduate Program in Biblical Counseling at The Masters College, CA, Editor of the Journal of Modern Ministry

Discovering God's Design for Marriage and Family

A Six Conference Rotation

Hosted by Local Churches

Divine Designs or "DD"1: Intro to Marriage and Family, The Husband
In the first event, the focus is marriage, family, and the man.
In marriage, we will learn that marriage is a covenant before God and how that understanding impacts the way we develop the relationship.  We will also learn the basic theology of the family and God’s purpose for the family in unfolding His great plan of salvation.  And finally, there is a special focus on what it means to be a man and his calling as a husband and spiritual leader of the home.

DD2: The Wife, In Law Relationship

In the second event, the focus is on the woman and her calling to be a “suitable helper” (Genesis 2:18).  There is also considerable time given to the in-law relationships.  A topic not covered enough, the biblical principles of in-law relationships are explained and explored.  The parent-child relationship will be examined as a major factor in future in-law relationships.  And the goal of growing into an adult relationship with one’s grown children will be examined.

DD3: Communication
In the third event, God’s design for communication in relationships is explored.  Communication is presented as the key to building a healthy relationship.  This event is designed to be a set with the upcoming event on Conflict Resolution:  Divine Designs 4:  God’s Design for Conflict Resolution.

Special Topics:
            The purpose of communication
            Non verbal communication
Listening as a ministry to the other person
            Principles of timely communication
Communication differences between men and women

DD4: Conflict Resolution

In the fourth event, God’s design for conflict resolution is explored.  Biblical principles of forgiveness, reconciliation, and peace-making are explained.  Along with this, there will be insight given into how sin works in our lives.  Such insight better equips the believer to be obedient to God.  This event is intentionally designed to be a set with the previous event on communication, Divine Designs 3.

Special Topics:
An overview of our sinful tendencies in relationships
            Biblical principles of reconciliation
            Understanding biblical forgiveness
            Communication and Conflict resolution

DD5: Intimacy and Sex
In the fifth event, the focus is on the physical relationship within marriage.  In the light of all that the church has or has not done to teach this most important topic, the biblical principles of sex will be outlined.  Attention will be given to problems that couples experience, including male and female differences.  There will also be discussion about the sins of pornography and adultery.

Special Topics:
            A biblical view of sex
            Male and female differences
            Dealing with problems
            Pornography
            Adultery

DD6: Family, Parenting

In the sixth and final event, the focus will be on the biblical principles of parenting.  Fatherhood and motherhood will be examined.  Also, the blessings and challenges of parenting will be explored.  And practical guidelines of raising godly children will be presented.

Special Topics:
Biblical principles of Fatherhood and Motherhood
            Dealing with rebellious children
Biblical principles of discipline and nurture
What to do when a child abandons the faith

The Titus 2 Institute has been a blessing and a challenge for me and my marriage. The blessing has been the solid Christ-centered teaching I have recieved, both from the conferences and personal counsel from Pastor Tae. The challenge has been applying everything I have learned with humility. And this has been best taught from the life of Pastor Tae. Pastor Steve Salazar, San Jose, CA
